ICRI's comprehensive approach to domestic violence prevention includes culturally sensitive programs, specialized counseling, educational workshops, and community outreach initiatives. - ICRI has successfully conducted outreach campaigns to raise awareness about domestic violence within immigrant and refugee communities. We have also provided educational sessions for our clients, including a women's group with a family law attorney discussing women's rights in the United States and meetings with Congolese community members at a local church to educate them on domestic violence. Additionally, our staff has spoken with high school students about domestic violence and healthy relationships.
Through case management, ICRI has offered comprehensive support services to our clients, such as counseling, therapy referrals, legal assistance (filing protection orders and divorce decrees), housing and food assistance, public benefits support, and temporary shelter for domestic violence survivors.
