Midtown Restaurant Project - <p>Montana Community Development Corporation (dba MoFi) will use $800,000 in CED funds to support a new restaurant business and create quality jobs for low-income people in Bozeman, Montana. MoFi will make a loan to the new restaurant that will be a full-service, experience-based restaurant, offering bowling, billiards, and gaming machines. The loan will be used for start-up, working capital, and a portion of the furniture and fixture costs. MoFi will work with the restaurant to support retention and career advancement of employees and will promote and encourage the new employees to participate in a range of financial literacy services offered by Human Resource Development Council’s Financial Opportunity Center, to further help the new employees improve their financial stability and achieve career growth. MoFi is partnering with four social service providers to recruit low-income individuals, including Career Transitions, Community Counseling & Correctional Services, Inc. (CCCS), Job Service Bozeman, and Gallatin College Culinary Arts Program. The project will leverage an additional $4,739,594. The project will create 42 new, full-time jobs, 32 of which will be filled by individuals with low income.</p>
