Creating jobs and economic energy in Ontonagon through the revitalization of high grade copper production using landfill diverted materials. - <p><span>Northern Great Lakes Initiatives, dba Northern Initiatives will use $700,000 in CED funds to provide a loan to PM Power Group of Ontonagon to expand the White Pine Copper Refinery Inc. (WPCR) in Ontonagon, Michigan. WPCR owns and operates an industrial scale copper refinery facility. The loan to PM Power Group will be used to launch Phase II of the expansion, which will include working capital for the increase of copper production and increased utilization of the facility. This project will create 35 new, full-time jobs, 26 of which will be filled by individuals with low income.</span></p>
