<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"><tbody><tr height="266"><td class="xl78" width="864" height="266">Main Street Launch (MSL) will use $800,000 in CED funds to capitalize the Oakland Job Fund, which will provide low-interest loans to create and expand restaurants within seven Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)-designated districts of Oakland, California. In addition to the loans, CED funds will be used to provide individualized technical assistance to the restaurants and to cover the costs of program administration. The first four restaurants to be assisted are Calabash, Cafe El Patio, Bijan, and Reina. These low-interest loans to restaurants to start up or expand will fill the gap in the neighborhood's food economy. Main Street Launch will work with local partners to offer culturally and linguistically appropriate financial literacy training to participating businesses. This project will serve communities in an Opportunity Zone. The project will create 86 new, full-time jobs, 75% of which will be filled by low-income individuals. </td></tr></tbody></table>
