Kentucky Disaster Assistance for State Units on Aging and Tribal Organizations: February and April 2025 Flood Recovery - In February and April of 2025 Kentucky experienced historical flooding resulting in 49 of th3 120 Kentucky counties receiving a Presidental Disaster Declaration. It is the goal of this project to reimburse the SUA and AAA staff time for disaster response, the cost of cleanup efforts, restock emergency/shelf stable meals, and provide limited replacement of items or seniors as a result of the February and April flooding in Kentucky. These items are not reimbursable from FEMA, American Red Cross, insurance, or Title III program funds. The Objective is to provide funding support for federally disaster declared areas that would not be reimbursable through other avenues such as FEMA or insurance.
