USAging Caregiver Navigator Services - USAging, in partnership with ADvancing States, the National Resource Center on Native American Aging, Family Caregiver Alliance and Scripps Gerontology Center, will achieve the project goal to build and enhance the capacity of the Aging Network to offer effective caregiver navigator services in Older Americans Act (OAA)-funded Title III-E/VI-C programs and by the entities administering them. USAging proposes the following objectives: 1) Better understand and identify the extent to which caregiver navigator services are/are not currently used in OAA Title III-E/VI-C programs, types of existing caregiver navigation models, preferred modes and methods to receive technical assistance and opportunities to enhance capacity; 2) Design and test approaches for delivering caregiver navigation programs in Title III-E/VI-C programs from a variety of settings and across diverse populations by conducting program evaluations to identify the most successful approaches for replication; and 3) Develop, disseminate and offer preferred modes of technical assistance to the Aging Network for scaling and replicating the most successful caregiver navigation models based on the program evaluation results. Anticipated outcomes include: 1) State Units on Aging (SUAs), Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) and Title VI programs are broadly and equitably represented and engaged in the baseline assessment on caregiver navigation; 2) Aging Network organizations have access to innovative and replicable caregiver navigation models to enhance caregiver well-being; and 3) SUAs, AAAs and Title VI programs benefit from the training and TA resources. Deliverables include an environmental scan, survey and listening session findings, a caregiver navigation replication toolkit, social media campaign, evaluation and summary reports, office hours, webinars, conference intensives, briefings and presentations.
