Washington's Strengthen Families Locally (SFL) initiative is a community-level intervention to build capacity, collaboration and identification of root causes of child welfare involvement in communities with historically higher rates of child welfare involvement and out of home placements. The initiative reaches its goals and the following objectives through using data, funding local facilitation to bring community members and parents together to build a community prevention plan and identify priority projects to address the root causes of child welfare involvement.
