The Tribal Personal Responsibility Education Program (Tribal PREP) teaches youth how to make healthy choices about their reproductive health, prevent unintended pregnancies, and access information about birth control. The Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council (GLITC) carries out this work in Wisconsin and St. Paul, Minnesota. Tribal PREP is supported by federal grants from the Family and Youth Services Bureau within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The program serves Native and non-Native youth aged 10 to 19 years who attend school districts and/or community centers in five participating tribal communities: The Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin, the Stockbridge-Munsee Community Band of Mohican Indians the Ho-Chunk Nation, the Oneida Nation, and the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin.
