Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon (CTGR) Tribal Personal Responsibility Education Program (TPREP) Project - The CTGR TPREP project will focus on reaching our local middle school, high school and young adult Native population with evidence-based programs that educate on abstinence, contraception, pregnancy prevention, STD/STI and HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention, as well as other adult preparation topics such as healthy relationships, communication with parents and financial literacy. Two public schools (Willamina & Sheridan) will be included included in this partnership, as will the CTGR Indian Head Start Preschool Program. In the two schools there are significant populations of Native students (Willamina approx. 35%; Sheridan approx. 10%) due to their proximity to the CTGR Reservation. It will be within their health classrooms that CTGR TPREP will provide curricula to the students. At our Preschool, CTGR TPREP will network with their staff's efforts in working with young parents up to 20 yrs. old on family planning and community opportunities to grow their skills in positive parenting and relationship practices. The grant project's activity and funding cycle will end on Sept. 30, 2026
