This is a two year project award for the Missouri Senior Medicare Patrol Project to develop new statewide collaborations, coalitions and other integration efforts, emulating successful practices of established Senior Medicare Patrol programs.This integration project will develop a comprehensive statewide approach to increase awareness and detection of MEDICAID fraud among providers, recipients and caregivers.The target population is rural and low income individuals. Collaborators include: MO Div. Medical Svcs., Dept. Health & Senior Svcs., CLAIM (CMS), LTC Ombudsman program, Alliance of AAA, Attorney General, and David Pearce, State Representative. Anticipated activities/outcomes: The grantee anticipates that 95% of education seminar attendees surveyed will indicate a willingness to report concerns. The results of this project will be reported to AoA and the National Consumer Protection Technical Resource Center.
