Cookies and Convo - PROJECT SUMMARY Project Title: Cookies and Convo Face to Face Enrichment Center is submitting this Non-Competing Continuation (NCC) application to sustain implementation of the Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) through its project, Cookies and Convo, serving adolescents and young adults in Harris County (Houston) and Dallas County (Dallas), Texas. The program continues to focus on teen pregnancy prevention and healthy relationship education through evidence-informed programming aligned with federal requirements. During Year 3, the project will serve an annual target of approximately 600 participants ages 14–19, including youth who may be experiencing a range of social, economic, educational, or family-related challenges. Parents of participants and parenting teens will also be engaged through workshops and supportive educational sessions designed to strengthen communication, family engagement, and protective factors. The project will implement the Love Notes Abstinence-Only curriculum. The curriculum supports positive youth development by promoting healthy decision-making, goal setting, communication skills, self-efficacy, and relationship education, with a focus on delaying sexual activity and strengthening skills that support healthy transitions into adulthood. The curriculum includes structured lessons that address decision-making, communication, personal responsibility, and overall well-being. Program services will continue to be delivered across multiple settings, including Face to Face Enrichment Center sites, schools, faith-based organizations, community centers, and partner agencies throughout the Houston and Dallas regions. Participants identified as needing additional support will be referred to appropriate services based on individual needs and voluntary participation. Pregnant and parenting participants will also be connected to supportive resources to strengthen stability and family well-being. To support recruitment and retention, the project will maintain a comprehensive outreach strategy that includes a program website, social media engagement, and targeted public awareness activities. Participant engagement will be supported through incentives such as gift cards, school supplies, and other tangible items designed to encourage consistent participation and program completion. Philliber Research & Evaluation (Philliber) will continue to serve as the independent evaluator for the project, providing ongoing monitoring, performance measurement, and evaluation support throughout this 36-month continuation period.
