Theory and Innovation Support Hub (TISH) - Accelerator is an accelerator model innovation hub that will support the testing and refinement of innovative teen pregnancy prevention (TPP) interventions. TISH aims to bring theory to the forefront of all phases of prototype refinement and testing from theory refinement through to pilot testing and dissemination. The proposed hub provides innovation development teams (IDTs) with structured phases and achievable milestones, supported by coaching, subject matter experts (SMEs), and templates/toolkits. IDTs employ human-centered design techniques and an iterative process to integrate feedback throughout all phases. Our team successfully implemented a 2020 innovation and impact network, which supported the start of seven interventions, four of which completed an application for rigorous evaluation funding. We will leverage the lessons learned, infrastructure development, and relationships from our previous innovation network project.¿¿
PRG, the lead applicant, brings a unique perspective, including a clear understanding of the TPP continuum and familiarity with the evidence review process. Our mission is to improve equity and opportunity, and our motivation to participate in this project is to support the development of interventions with the potential to reduce health disparities. Our experience as an evaluation firm makes us well-positioned to succeed as an accelerator hub. Please note that we have also submitted a hybrid hub proposal. It is our preference to implement a hybrid model; however, if we are not awarded a grant to operate a hybrid model, we are confident that our skills can be utilized to successfully operate an accelerator model.¿
