The Washington State Department of Health’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Program acts as an umbrella agency for our 16 contractors with 89 service sites located in 34 of the 39 counties throughout the state. This grant proposal is a request for funding to make our services accessible to people in need of sexual and reproductive health services through strengthening infrastructure, increasing education and outreach services, and developing activities to increase health equity. We have four goals for this project: Goal 1: Increase Efficiency and Effectiveness of Title X Network Management and Operations SRHP will ensure adequate capacity and geographic coverage of the Title X Network during the first year by assessing the Network coverage related to unmet need in the service area, capacity, and funds annually. Annual assessment activities may include: Goal 2: Increase Awareness of Title X Services and Service Sites SRHP will increase effectiveness of Title X subrecipient level outreach and education by identifying opportunities to better meet the needs of our priority populations and advance health equity through community education and outreach. Goal 3: Increase Collaborative Relationships Outside Title X Network to Improve Optimal Health SRHP will identify strategies to develop and improve relationships with community organizations and other experts that serve priority populations to improve equity and social justice in Title X services. Goal 4: Increase data driven decision-making and ensure equity of and access to sexual and reproductive health services. SRHP will ensure that sexual and reproductive health service are reaching low income and uninsured clients in an equitable manner by developing a disparity impact statement informed by the most recent needs assessment to measure and inform how different services will be delivered to and received by underserved groups.
