This project will advance efforts to prevent suicide and suicide attempts among adults age 25 and older to reduce the overall suicide rate and number of suicides in Colorado by: 1) expanding evidence-based rapid follow up during periods of risk post-discharge; 2) increasing effective clinical and professional strategies for assessing and treating those at risk for suicide; 3) expanding community-based recovery supports; and 4) supporting direct services for survivors of domestic violence and their dependents. The project will also improve collaboration at the state and local level between organizations serving domestic violence survivors and groups involved in existing suicide prevention efforts.
