The St. Clair County pilot is to be implemented by Safe Horizons in Port Huron. It would involve a partnership between the local domestic violence agency, Safe Horizons, the county's DHS and the DHS Family-to-Family program. The Muskegon County pilot is to be implemented by Every Woman's Place in Muskegon. The project proposed in this grant application would involve serving children who are part of the Safe Havens supervised visitation program at Every Woman's Place. Michigan is one of four demonstration sites in the nation under the Safe Haves: Supervised Visitation and Safe Exchange Grant Program. The two projects would be guided by a steering committee minimally comprised of staff from each local domestic violence agency, MDVPTB, MCADSV, a researcher from Michigan State University, and the director of a Michigan batterer intervention program.
