The complex interplay of national, State and local policies and regulations regarding child care, often leaves those seeking infomration adrift in a difficult-to-navigage system. To help families locate services, and to provide resources to support families and providers in making informed choices, the CCB has called for the development and operation of the National Child Care Toll-Free Hotline (NCCH). Conceptualized as a central point of entry for customers seeking child care information, and as a vital link to local organizations (e.g., CCR&R's) that provide direct assistance, the NCCH will assist families and providers with their child care information needs through the provision of high-quality tools, resources and referrals. ICF's proposed approach for the NCCH offers the CCB a program that is:
- Relationship-based: personalized, responsive and user-friendly service delivery that facilitates effective communication and postive outcomes
-Systems-based: coordinated and integrated child care information and referral services that ensure on-demand access to resources needed to make optimal decisions
-Target audience-based: offer caregivers and low-income, Tribal, refugee, non-English speaking, and military families culturally relevant information they need, when and where they need it
-Results-based: use feedback to ensure that NCCH services continuously align with CCB's and customers' information priorities.
Drawing upon etensive corporate experience, ICF can leverage lessons learned, best practices and key innovations to deliver a state-of-the-art child care hotline and accompanying Website to the CCB, its partnering organizations, and the families and providers needing targeted child care information and enhanced referral services.
